New Approaches to the Study of Manuscripts and Other Written Artefacts (Michael Friedrich)

Manuscript Studies have become popular in recent years. The talk will present comparative approaches as developed at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures at the University of Hamburg. In addition, new insights in traditional ways we look at manuscripts and other written artefacts will be introduced.
